Thursday 26 August - Woking
Mid Sussex

After some years away 26 members and 9 guests returned to the prestigious Woking golf club. The course was presented in its usual magnificent condition. We were also fortunate that the course ball collecting system, or as the professionals call it the heather, was in full bloom.

Never an easy course the pin placements on the undulating greens made for some very testing putts indeed.

The winner of the Doug Wilson Salver was Ralph Bartlett, who with a birdie on the last carded an impressive 37 points, just beating our Captain George Michie into second place with 36 points.

The team prize went to George Michie, Ric Rankin and Ralph Bartlett with 83 points

The two nearest the pin prizes went too Eric Saunders and Ross Michie respectively, with Kim Harris collecting the longest drive prize.

Our winning guest was Paul Heamon.
